Applications:
It is mainly used for metal etching and sewage treatment. The etching includes etching of copper, stainless steel, aluminum and other materials. It has the advantages of good effect and low price for the treatment of raw water with low oil content, but it has the disadvantage of yellowing water color. It is also used for printing and dyeing cylinder engraving, electronic industry circuit board and fluorescent digital cylinder production, etc. It is used in the construction industry to prepare concrete to enhance its strength, corrosion resistance and water resistance. It can also be formulated with ferrous chloride, calcium chloride, aluminum chloride, aluminum sulfate, hydrochloric acid, etc. to make concrete waterproofing agent, and used in the inorganic industry to manufacture other iron salts and inks. In the dye industry, it is used as an oxidizing agent in the dyeing of Indicosol dyes. It is used as a mordant in the printing and dyeing industry. In the metallurgical industry, it is used as a chloride invading agent for extracting gold and silver. The organic industry is used as a catalyst, oxidant and chlorinating agent. The glass industry is used as a hot coloring agent for glassware. In the soap making industry, it is used as a coagulant for recovering glycerin from soap waste liquid.
Another important use of ferric chloride is metal etching, etching products such as: spectacle frames, clocks, electronic components, and nameplates.
Precautions:
Isolate the leakage pollution area, and set warning signs around it. It is recommended that emergency personnel wear gas masks and chemical protective clothing. Do not directly contact the spilled material, avoid raising dust, collect and transport to the waste disposal site for disposal. Dissolve it in a. water, b. acid, or c. oxidize it into an aqueous solution state, and add sulfide to cause precipitation reaction, and then discard it. It can also be washed with a large amount of water, and the diluted washing water can be put into the waste water system. In case of a large amount of leakage, collect and recycle or discard after harmless treatment.
