What equipment is used to process liquid alkali?

Liquid caustic soda is a complex process in the production process. In order to ensure the quality of products in production, in addition to materials and processes, equipment for handling products is also very important. Using well-operated equipment will also result in better product performance.

1. The liquid alkali machine is the main equipment for producing alkali, an important basic chemical raw material. After the molten alkali flows out of the three-effect evaporator, it enters the machine and adheres to the roller. Cold water is introduced into the molten alkali outside the cooling drum of the drum, and is scraped off by scrapers.

2. Heating and evaporating water to achieve the purpose of solid-liquid separation. The evaporator consists of a heating chamber for heat transfer, an evaporation chamber for gas-liquid separation, a mist eliminator for further separation of liquid foam, a condenser for condensing all secondary vapors and a vacuum device for depressurized operation .

3. Sugar bowl

Between the second effect evaporator and the third effect evaporator, there is a sugar tank filled with 5% sucrose solution. The reason added the sugar tank is  the equipment material is Ni, and liquid caustic soda will strongly corrode the equipment material at high temperature, so the liquid caustic soda is neutralized with sucrose solution to reduce corrosion to the equipment.

4. The working principle of the surface condenser is that when the secondary steam contacts the surface cooler, there is a temperature difference between the surface of the cooler and the secondary steam. According to the principle of heat transfer, the heat of the secondary steam will be transferred to the refrigerant in the cooling tube through the surface of the cooler, so that the temperature of the secondary steam can be reduced. When the surface temperature of the cooler is lower than the dew point temperature of the treated secondary steam, the water vapor in the secondary steam is condensed to achieve the purpose of cooling and dehumidification.
